Route & General Observations

We toured up to the Pinnacle from IM parking lot. Temperature was 1 degree at IM. Winds were light and sky was clear.

Performed two compression tests and two propagation saw tests on the apron below the pinnacle chute. CT results were ECTP23@30cm and ECTP20@30cm. Layer of concern appears to be buried surface hoar under a heavy wind slab. Propagation saw tests yielded negative results and could not get the slab to propagate at all in the 100cmX30cm block.

Saw no obvious signs of instability and we skied the line without incident. Overall much more stable than concerning pit results two days ago.
