Route & General Observations

Started at the parking lot at 2:00, 32° but warm enough that snow was caking on top of our skis, about 18″ of heavy powder on top of snowpack, partly cloudy. Noticed several little stuffs and rollerballs on W face. Little gusts of wind picked up above tree line and continued. At 2,300 started noticing wind effect, punchy layer about 3″ down. At 2,700 still noting wind effect, snow very stiff and dry. Observed high altitude lenticular clouds forming over Summit, possibly the storm tomorrow. Skiied through a neat pocket of powder on SW face on the way down.Snow feeling heavier and a little crusty on the way down. Back at the parking lot at 5:30, plenty of light still (!!!).
