Observation: Girdwood

Peterson and Kern creeks accessed from Peterson. Surface hoar up to 5 mm in size in the shade. Sun crust on only the steepest south pitches. HS > 3 meters @ 2750′ in the flat middle of the glacier. No signs of instability with lots of skier testing. Of note, way bigger and more prevalent crowns visible from the last avalanche cycle than at Turnagain. Some people would definitely consider the egress Type 2 fun.
