Hi!
We broke trail up Peterson Creek to about 1500′ and turned around. The snow at our turnaround was
about 70 cm deep. Trail breaking was over boot top and tough. Skiing downhill was slow.
We had a whoomph at about 1,000′ on a 25 degree west slope above the creek. It collapsed on facets
under a crust, that was under 50 cm of new. We got ECTP16 on the facets.
At 13:00 loose avalanches were starting on the SE aspect above the creek. A slab on the new snow was also
on the that SE aspect from yesterday, or the day before.
Thanks for the great advisories!
Joe
