Observation: Chugach State Park
Location: Penguin peak, Bird Ridge Point
Penguin common uptrack, down and over to east side of BRP.
Multiple crown lines observed between Penguin and Esbay peak on SW aspects between 2600-3700’. Not sure of time or bed surface but propagation up to 1000’+ wide. Lots of solar gain on Bird Ridge, plenty of wet loose debris and evidence of bigger wet loose that gouged out snowpack to the ground in steeper terrain traps. No other signs of instability, good surface conditions.
