Planned to skin up Peak 4068 from the Marmot parking lot. The slope was shaded and thus shielded from high temps/solar radiation. There was a well traveled skin track. A skier triggered avalanche ran the length of the slope around 1.30 pm on a ENE aspect. The avi covered part of the lower skin track. The skier was able to hang left and avoid the avalanche.
