Route & General Observations

Standard up track from 16 parking lot. Wanted to check out the crust layer
Dug 2 pits. Pit #1 (wind loaded)NE aspect 2800ft 43 degrees, 180cm total snow depth, SS 35cm down, ECTN2 170cm, ECTP11 Q1 145cm, ECTP Q2 120cm. Pit#2 (wind loaded) N aspect 3500ft 30 degrees, 140cm total snow depth, SS 30cm down, ECTX.
Crust was supportable while skiing with 3-4″ of low density snow on top. Very “LOUD” skiing! We did see avalanche debris on Punk Spines that looked natural and a wet point release on the gravel slope at entrance to Hatchers as we left at 2:30pm.
