Observation: Chugach State Park

Up a southwest peak 4 gully. Several storm or wind slabs on southwest aspects that have been slightly covered by a few inches of snow.

Lots of cracking in the few inches of new snow. Pit halfway up gully showed a stout 20cm pencil hard base with about 20cm of facets then 20cm of various layers. Height of snow 60cm. CTE about 15cm down and ECTX. Mid elevation band skied best the rest was variable.
