A motorist saw a natural avalanche with powder cloud when pulling up to the Sterling Wye intersection with the Seward Highway driving from Cooper Landing at 6pm on March 4th. The avalanche is most likely a wind slab that released due to the strong NW outflow winds that have been occurring the past four days. No debris reached the road.
