A party of three skiers hiked up Peak 3 starting from the backside of the Flattop parking lot. Wind had strongly affected the area where new snowfall occurred 2 days prior. Shooting cracks were observed, but no whumpfing.

Avalanche Details

A wind slab 12 ft wide slid and carried a skier approx 15 ft before coming to a stop on the west aspect of Peak 3. Slide occurred roughly 100 ft. from summiting. Skier was able to skin back over to a rocky area and ski out.
