Weather: Sunny and blue skies. Morning breeze through Taylor Creek in the morning, light breeze
on the glacier on Pastoral. Calm on the top.
Snow conditions: Variable. Wind affected on Pastoral. Boot pack on hard, hollow windslab the last
portion up to the top. We skied one of the N facing gullies. Mix of crust and soft snow. Pockets of
wind slab on the glacier on roll-overs, only 1-2″ thick but sliding easily as they were ski cut. S
aspects got warmed up throughout the day but not moist. Despite the strong solar input, air
temperatures stayed fairly cold.
