Toured up through Taylor Pass and skied north bowl of Pastoral. Noted two wind slab avalanches on a steep N aspect of pastoral. Dug a pit at 4000ft. Found two 1cm, 4 finger hardness layers of potential concern at 35 and 45 cm down that were sandwiched between 1 finger wind slabs. Snowpack was over 3m deep and right side up. ECTN 14 @ 35cm down.
Great skiing.

2 north facing wind slab avalanches on Pastoral from yesterday or day before. Only took a picture of the larger one. 1 south facing wind slab on the rowdy looking peak east of Pastoral.
