Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Mostly sunny to start, with progressively more clouds throughout the day. Lows winds throughout the day.

Snow surface

About 10cm new snow at road level, increased to 20cm in the alpine depending on the aspect and elevation. Snow was low density at the east end of Sunburst's, and no evident wind slab. Snow quality was a little worse on Pastoral - a mix of soft wind slab, hard wind slab, and rime along the Pastoral Ridge. All snow was more wind effected on Pastoral, but turned to better quality skiing a 200 ft down from the ridgeline. Snow was wind effected, but still good quality skiing.

Snowpack

10cm new low density snow at road level, increasing to up to 20cm in the Alpine, depending on aspect.
