Route & General Observations

We went up Paradise creek drainage to get an initial general impression of conditions after 5 days of outflows winds hammering the Resurrection River and Bay area. Our main goal was hunting for instabilities today. We dug 2 snowpits to the ground on the valley floor, looked at at all aspects including several steep solar aspects and mainly found evidence windloading/crossloading on leeward southern aspects below ridgelines.

Both pits: ECTX, CTN
Well-bonded layer of rounds on top of layer of clustered rounds
Thick Melt-freeze 70cm below surface
Basal Facets in bottom 10 cm
No lemons observed
