Route & General Observations

Hiked and skinned up Orca from the Seward hwy. Snow from treeline to lower part of ridge was soft with hard layer of crust on top in morning. Once I started climbing the ridge snow became soft and deep. Got to a high point where ridge starts going towards upper Kern Creek and observed a good amount of natural sliding that had occurred recently on the slope just beyond where I turned around. Face I skied down rode great until close to treeline.
