Short break in the weather showed two 2-4′ crowns at the top of the tree chutes on lower orca ridge. The crowns were fairly high in the starting zone, close to the ridge. Tried for a photo but the i-phone could not get any definition in the flat light.

Estimate of dimensions, seen from a distance in bad light. Feel confident that they were slab avalanches between 2 and 4 feet deep at the crown face. It seemed that there was not too much new snow covering the crowns -- looked fairly fresh.
