A remotely triggered avalanche was released after several skiers/riders dropped into a bowl between the N aspect of Hatch Peak and the 1K dollar run shoulder. A successful companion rescue was performed.
The avalanche released all the way to the base, to possible early season facets (found it on a pit in similar aspect, dif. location.)

Recent avalanches were found on N aspect on the same peak, but towards the Willow Valley, Summit Lake. Big Whumphing in the flat area near this lake.
