Route & General Observations

Toured up the glades above Skeetawk to the NE Shoulder of Frostbite Ridge.
Conditions were thin and variable. HS 15-26cm

Weather

Calm winds, overcast skies S (toward the valley), clear to 1/4 cloud coverage N (toward Marmot Peak)
Fog in the valley began to creep up fishhook road at about 14:30

Hand Shear Pit @3,000 ft on a NE slope HS26
Sheared easily on the bottom side of a crust layer 17cm (up from ground) crust was ~.5cm thick, but seemed to vary in thickness

Areas on the shoulder that were wind effected the crust layer was exposed, protected areas had softer but dense snow.

Below 2,500 (protected by alders) ~4cm of new snow sat on a crust ~2-3mm thick w/ HS 15cm
