Route & General Observations

Up standard magnum route then down the south side across the creek and up a portion of cornbiscuit. Saw lots of sugary snow on our boot pack up cornbiscuit. We continued along the ridge for a few hundred yards and then decided to drop into a gully. It was fairly steep, but we didn’t get a slope measurement.

Avalanche Details

Triggered on a ski cut. Two different slabs slid simultaneously. The bottom was ~3" thick and was above facets sitting on top of an ice or melt freeze crust. Above this there was an additional 10-12" slab. I didn't look closely at it but I'd guess wind loaded snow on top of the frost layer.
