Route & General Observations

We skied up to Mt. Ascension on 10/28/2011. As we were about
200 verticle feet from the top of the mountain, an avalanache
broke loose about 50 feet above us. The avalanche was about 3-4
feet deep. The slide path missed us by about 20 feet.

It was very sunny and the slope was about 40 degrees.
