Route & General Observations

Started at the trailhead at 10:30 am. Bluebird day, temp about 28°, a light breath of wind.

Skin track was a little snotty below 1000’.

Popped out of the trees around 1800’ – snowpack had some pockets of powder but generally stiff with no reactivity noted.

Up on the ridge noted wind scouring and wind loaded cornices, but several jump tests resulted in no movement whatsoever. Informal pit results also showed no movement, snowpack more than probe deep. Around 2400’ started noting a wind crust.

Super fun ski down, back to the trailhead at 5:00.
