This slide is out of the forecast area and is rarely skied because of the junk
cars on the bluff but I figured I would email you the pics anyway. I frequent
this area with the dog a lot and have seen numerous slides here. I caused this
slide Saturday night at 10:30 pm as I approached the forming cornice from the
top of the slope. The wind was between 20 – 30 mph from the East. The crown
was from 1 to 3 feet in depth and the entire slope on the South side of the
gulley that runs down the center of the bluff slid. I would guess it is about
600 feet across the crown. The debris as far as I could tell ran to the bottom
except where it piled up in the alders.
