Avalanche: Hatcher Pass

Route & General Observations

Toured up microdot, first skiing the Lower shoulder below the main chute. Skied second lap on main shoot and triggered a slab sitting over a melt freeze crust when entering the chute. Crown was about 4 inches deep (I think?) and D1 in size. Was able to safely ski to a rib and let it shed.

Also one member of our group did get one whumph, and we did note small cracks at one point on our skin track (only spreading about 3 ft from our skis).
