Route & General Observations

Primarily skied a south east aspect of Marmot Ridge. Presidents Ridge ascent and descent from Archangel lot. Felt very hot with the sun on our back. About 3c-6c, no winds, very sunny. Snow started as corn and became fairly slushy by 3pm on slopes facing the most sun. Snow at the top of Marmot Ridge was hot powder. Snow on Rae Wallace north face looked highly variable as we watched about 12 other skiers skiing/bootpacking/skiing. Some pockets of soft-ish snow, but mostly variable sun and wind slab. No new avalanches witnessed. Descending south face on Presidents Ridge was a mix of Hot Pow near top and corn / slush near bottom. A couple wet loose slides were initiated that could have carried a person.
