Observation: Summit
Location: Manitoba, Summit Lake
Skied Manitoba this Saturday under blue skies and the baking sun. Some older sluffs were observed in the
steepest chutes. Pockets of hard, shallow wind slabs on varied east and west locations. Skied first the north
aspect which still has nice fluffy snow. Then skied the west face around 3:30pm. The snow didn’t feel
sunbaked until we reached the treeline.
