Met Matthew coming down, said he had encountered multiple shooting cracks and had remotely triggered a slide just down from the summit at the top of the upper bowl. From his tracks it appears he was about 50' away.

5 inches of snow at highway, almost all new. 8-10" at the end of the mining road, 18-20" snowpack at treeline at bottom of the ridge. Did not dig a pit up high but my pole says 24"+ up higher. Above treeeline there was a consisted 8" of fresh snow over a variable soft slab. A small amount of wind transport evident up high and a little wind affect to the snow. Kicked off some little slabs along the upper ridge that ran much farther than expected. Skied down near the uptrack in wonderful ego snow with no worries. Good times.
