Route & General Observations

We had calm winds from the valley floor to 2500ft. Then we started experiencing a 10-15mph NW wind with light wind crust and moderate loading near the top of the west face. There were strong NW winds loading the eastern aspects of the peaks to the south of Fresno. From there, northward, there was much less loading on the ridgetops.

Snowpack: HS near the summit was 80cm. Snowpit at 3000′ showed a right side up snowpack HS 55cm, ECTN 12, CT 18 BRK down 30cm. The new snow at the pit was 30cm deep on top of a pencil hard rain crust layer from the prior warmth.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
