Standard Manitoba route.
Weather-
0 c at the car, broken skies, light south winds. Weather was consistent throughout the day and we saw temps down to -5 c at the top.
Red flags-
No obvious signs of instability.
Snow-
The route was skinable from the highway if you are willing to cross some grass, roots, and rocks. After beating some brush and grass a true, yet thin snowpack develops around the base of the main run at 2400 ft.
A quick pit at 3300 ft showed varying snow depths from 75-110 cm. Height of new snow was 20- 30 cm with a supportable right side up snowpack. Stability test were unreactive.
Skiing quality was high for hippies that love moderate terrain with boot top pow.
