Route & General Observations

Started from the Manitoba parking lot (currently only half plowed) at 11:30am. -4°, bluebird, no wind. Followed the skin track up. Lots of light fluffy snow with a squeaky layer down at the bottom, 4-12 inches of ski penetration. Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm a light breeze from the NE, could see some flagging on nearby peaks and wind scouring on the ribs over Colorado. Could see some clouds (an inversion layer?) north up the highway. Noted a slight wind crust starting at 2,800 ft elevation. Back at the parking lot at 3:30pm, 5°.
