Observation: Other Regions

There is a bad temperature gradient above the top crust. We saw
rounds turning into facets in the snow above that crust, and that
is also where the stability tests showed the most action.

Crusts are bad. They create there own weak layers, and they
provide a slippery bed surface. There is only about a foot of
snow on top of the rain crust. Watch out if we ever see
about 3 feet of snow on top of this crust.
