New snow with some rimed particles mixed in.
Ski penetration 15 cm at 1000'.
Ski quality good as long as alder snakes did not catch your skis.
1000': HS 90 cm.
1550': HS 110 cm. Right side up snowpack consisting of 20cm of new snow, 75cm of cohesive rounds and 15cm melt-freeze crusts/facets combo at the base. Moist basal facets at the ground.
Layer of concern: Rounding facets at the top of melt-freeze crust, shows high strength and low propagation propensity.
