up southwest ridge of Magnum to observe HS for FIDAR. poor ski quality, pockets of low density snow.

Light winds, high of 2 celsius. partly cloudy.

Snow surface

2cm of new snow, Significant warming of snow surface from solar radiation.

Snowpack

2450' south west aspect, 30 degree slope. ski pen 5cm boot pen 30cm. HS 65cm. Poor structure, high strength no propagation. no results on any tests. layer of concern was 2mm facets somewhere in the melt freeze curst sandwich.
