Route & General Observations

More great Solstice season skiing, today on Magnum. Skied a SW facing run from
the first prominent peak beyond the long, relatively flat corniced ridge. Then
a few more runs further back along the ridge down through rockier sections, S-SW
facing. Two other parties were in the same area skiing similar steep and rocky
terrain. There was some minor sluffing in the steepest and what seemed to be
more wind loaded areas, but nothing else. The snow pack seemed really solid and
snow surface was somewhat variable due to a bit of wind affect but overall
pretty nice – more wind affected up high right off the ridge (but still not too
bad).
