Pits are starting to show less propagation potential as the entire snowpack is changing to faceted forms.
The depth hoar layer at the ground is still by far the weakest layer, and falls apart as you clean the pit
walls. ECT tests are not showing the same ability to propagate as they were a week ago, but failure still
occurs.
Other places are still showing signs of collapse and whoomphing. Sites with more of a slab component
should still be considered for their avalanche potential.
