Location: Magic Forest (Little Japan)
Evening skin up from highway for a couple laps in the trees. Got up to around 400′-500′ above the parking lot (1750′ elevation).
Obvious signs of instability
Observer Comments
Skinning around 1700' in a sheltered area and felt 4-5 small whumpfs. The whumpfs were failing in the top foot of the snow on persistent layers. On my second lap I went up a different way and didn't feel another one. Skiing was pretty good in the mellow terrain!

Clear and cool...great sunset! Little bit of wind in the parking lot, but calm in the trees.
