Very large release approximately 900 feet around a ridge, back to a gully and part of the next ridge. Rider climbed the ridge and released about a minute later in a shallow area at the crux of the climb. Approximately one foot deep where it released and deeper below. Ran to the valley floor 800-1000 feet.
No, stability was pretty good. Some point releases. The snow pits didn't show any big warning sings beside the rotten snow at ground level. One layer of concern about a foot down but bonding pretty well with settlement. This layer is what is suspected the it released on. No one caught in the avy.
