Route & General Observations

This is a picture (marginal quality) of several avalanches that
are suspected to have slid close to the same time on Thursday
April 14th. This was during, or after, around 10″ or more of snow
fell that morning. Not visible in the photo are areas in the back
bowl where the bed surface looks to have ‘stepped down’ to
possibly a deeper weak layer. Also, on the east shoulder (west
facing) the crown pulled well up onto the broad ridge which is
characteristic of surface hoar.
