Avalanche: Hatcher Pass
Location: Lower Skyscraper
Put the skin track in at climber’s right of the lower Skyscraper/El Dorado bowl. Rode the lower runs off the bowl.
Avalanche Details
Cross loaded slope remotely triggered from about 50 feet away while ski testing another section of the slope, above the slide. The crown ran the length of the gully. The slab appeared to be all of this week's storm snow. The bed surface is a stiff melt/freeze crust.

Observer Comments
No obvious signs prior to the slide. Pit results made us suspicious of steep northerly aspects.
Weather
Sunny, calm, 3-10 in of new snow on this week's storm looked wind loaded on northern aspects and minimally consolidated.

ECT 14 on the old/new snow interface on a NNE slope. This was an ugly column though.
