Observation: Other Regions

Today we skied into Lower Russian Lakes Trail to Barber Cabin for some cabin
repairs and to improve the winter access route to the cabin. If going to Lower
Russian Lake or the Cabin please use winter route. Open water near in flow and
out flow areas where creeks drain into Lower Russian Lake. Some over flow was also
present on the lake but was not a problem.

The avalanche paths to the North of the cabin avalanched at some point about a
week ago and left debris 3-8′ deep and 50′ wide just above the summer trail.
We replaced some logs on the water crossings and packed the the trail out good so the winter route should be good to travel on and is recommended to avoid the avalanche paths.
