Location: Little Japan
Skinned up to just below tree line to dig a pit on a low angle slope (~19 degrees). There was a crust about 20 cm below the surface, and looser snow below the crust, which is where our tests failed & propagated. ECTP17 & CT17. Skied the trees which had nice powder.
