Route & General Observations

Toured up Lips today with Forecaster Kevin Wright under clearing skies and 5degF temps at the truck.
Found 6″ new snow from Thurs, with some areas forming a slight wind skin transitioning into a wind crust.
Light wind 5-10mph throughout the day. Tues storm snow was higher density and quite supportable with
ski pen limited to top 6″ of new snow.

Dug a pit on a SW slope at 2800′ to investigate new storm snow (both Tues and Thurs) interface with rime
crust from previous weekend. CT13Q2-Q3 with very minimal energy but relatively clean planar surface.
Overall felt good about the stability and lack of any large wind slabs on the SW aspect that we chose to ski.
