Observation: Turnagain

Common up track on western aspect. At 1500’ we began noticing wind effect and our hand shears produced 8cm wind slab of failing variable results from sudden planar to broken. 8cm of new snow over 10-15cm of 1 finger hardness wind slab over weaker snow from 1/29 storm. We observed multiple dry loose avalanches D1-D2 on the west side of the valley that went from ridge top to near valley floor.
