Skied from Bertha Creek TH up SW face of Lipps. Skinned then booted a wind hammered ridge to a SW facing couloir.
Observed a glide crack on the descent that is located about 1/3 way up the skin track almost out of sight to looker’s right

Very variable surface. We found pockets of soft powder interrupted with stiff windslabs (approx 12cm thick) and lots of wind boarded snow. Snow down low in alders was heavy bouncy powder with large surface hoar
Snow pit on an isolated wind slab at 2600', SW aspect, 27° slope angle. Pencil hardness 12cm windslab on top of 30cm soft snow (4f) atop an otherwise generally right side up snowpack (CT14 SC at 12cm down, ECTP11 at 12cm down). Skied over other similar areas with no additional signs of instability
