Route & General Observations

An avalanche (D2.5) was observed on the West face of Lipps at 1 pm. Skiers on Cornbiscuit reported seeing a powder cloud and snow in motion. At this point the trigger is unknown. There were skiers on the South face skin track. There were no tracks leading in or out of it and no tracks near it on the ridge. We suspect this was natural cornice fall triggered avalanche. We have not been tracking any persistent weak layers that would be remotely triggered but this could be an outlier. If anyone has further info on this slide please send us an observation or an email!
