Rode up Archangel Valley in search of soft snow. Minimal found. Still a nice day in the mountains.

~1" of fresh plus hoar frost from the night before. Unbreakable crust in most areas, unconsolidated snow below the crust.

Dug a pit at 4400 ft on a Southern aspect, minimal slope angle.
130cm snowpack, wind crust to 120cm, 4F down to 90cm, 1F down to 40cm, P down to 20cm weak facets 20cm to ground
