Small windslab broke under me as I skied over this roll. You can see propogation about 50' either side of my tracks. 6"-12" deep, 100'-120' wide and ran for 150'
An old glide crack that partially released is shown here. Snowpack was very shallow (10-14") and consisted primarily of very dense windslab. All the new storm snow from thursday had already been blown
High winds were the name of the game on saturday. Here lots of snow is being transported off the summit of Kickstep.
A large natural cornice break occured recently here. Note the slab propogation from the cornice release and the new cornice being formed.
