Avalanche: Turnagain
Location: Junior Bowl - Seattle Ridge
Rode up to the saddle in Juniors Bowl and part way up towards the peak. Ghosted sled and skied down shortly after the sled became visible at the bottom. Snow on the ridge was shallow low density on top of crust

Avalanche Details
New snow just below the ridge was shallow, I knew there was potential for slabs but did not anticipate that they would be any deeper than 6"-8". Made a few turns from the top and quickly found myself in a knee deep pocket. As soon as I noticed the change in depth the snow was already moving on both sides of me and I had fallen to my back. Deployed airbag but was able to dig into bed surface and slow myself to a stop, after being carried approximately 50 feet. The slide passed and I skied down the bed surface and debris pile.
Observer Comments
None, when the slab triggered it was very quiet. No shooting cracks, no settling. Snowpack went from 4" depth to 14" depth in 1-2 turns
