Route & General Observations

Hiking Johnson pass (non motorized) trail & came to multiple debris piles across the trail. Avalanches look like they let loose 4-5 days ago during warm up/ rain events. Debris has entrained trees & soil, in some spots I’m sure it’s 40′ deep!

Cloudy & snowing with pockets of sunshine. 29F with light winds

Snow surface

Rain damaged "corral reef" hard somewhat unsupportable crust. Difficult walking off packed surface. 1" new panko breadcrumb on top
