Around Mile 40. West facing aspect. Skied to 2900 ft.

Calm and overcast

Snow surface

6 inches of soft snow with no hard crust underneath. Some wind affected area above tree line at around 2900 ft.

Snowpack

Did an ECT and had no failures. With a shovel shear we found a shear about 12 inches down but no propagation. Another 12 inches under that we found a pretty clear shear but none of these layers failed during the ECT.
