Two laps of the bowl above Japanese Trees. Clear sky and very limited wind.

Small stuffs releasing from ski tracks on S slopes steeper than 35°

Severe blue. Wind up to 5kt for short bursts. No snow transportation.

Grauple layer spotted on both pits approximately 20cm deep. Did not want to propagate.
Pit 1: ECTN 23 20cm. Loose snow on top of graupel layer. 2800’ E slope protected from all wind.
Pit 2: Informal hand pit at 3200’ on east slope near ridge. Graupel layer buried under a fairly cohesive (wind?) slab was weaker than the rest of the snowpack, but did not want to release.
